Hand selected Basswood, grown in the cold climate of Russia, and noted for it's good grain quality. Chosen for it's ability to soften high "tinny" sounds, while emphasizing the midtones. Basswood produces a very "out front" presence, suitable for lead guitar.
Hand selected Maple necks. This is the most universally preferred neck wood. Strong, stable, and less reactive to the environment. This is a special "tonewood" grown in Dongbei China.
After planing, the guitar body starts with the basic cut, on a band saw
Further refinement under the watchful ey of production manager Mr Lu, who has been making guitars for 15 years. There is nothing that this man does not know about making quality guitars
This is a body jig, which is where a raw guitar body is placed for edge shaping.
A long belt sander is the way to sand the body, and not get any "hot spots". The goal is a nice flat smooth surface
This is a jig for the unfinished neck, used to refine the shape of the neck
The beatiful art of "sliding" on the neck is what separates a great guitar player from a good one. for this, the neck has to be smooth, and straight. A lot of careful craftsmanship and good machinery are used, to insure a neck that is glass smooth, and laser straight.
Finished bodies and necks are now ready for the paint process. A computer controlled (CNC) paint room insures a perfectly sprayed and baked on finish that will look good, and withstand years of rock and roll shredding.

Then you give them a great design. and ask for quality, regardless of cost. We found our partner in China. This team makes us proud. Our american design and specifications has been brought to life, at a price our customers can afford.

About manufacturing in China. Here iat LC Enterprises, we've been partnering with factories in China for almost a decade. The simple reason, is to reduce the cost of our products. China has the ability to turn out cheap, low quality products, and also more expensive high quality products. The final quality level depends upon what the buyer asks for. As an importer, we are the buyer. If we ask for "a low price", we get a low price, with lower quality. If we ask for high quality, we get it, at a higher cost.. When it comes to guitars, we feel it's better to ask for high quality. The cost will still be low enough. The good money exchange rate, and lower chinese wages all contribute to an affordable cost. So, there is no reason to compromise the quality of a guitar.

The group of craftmen at our factory is second to none. They have all the experience of any guitar maker in the world. We are proud of our ability to seek out the best craftmen, and produce a high quality product, at an affordable price. The Big Lou, wide nut electric guitar represents a product that we are proud to place our name on, and we are certain that our customers will like our design. Especially the bigger guitar players with large hands and fingers..

Goal; The best woods, quality components, american design, with a low cost.

Advantages of a wide neck guitar:

A wide neck electric guitar means that you can allow more room between the strings. The wide neck on the Big Lou electric guitar measures 1 7/8" wide. This wide neck allows for a full 8 mm between the strings.

The wide neck on the Big Lou electric guitar is much easier for a beginner to play. Accuracy does not count as much. Your playing will sound better, as it is harder to make a mistake on a wide neck guitar.

The wide neck guitar is also better for the larger players who have big hands and fingers. The 8 mm string spacing allows for more room for large fingers. This decreases errors, and enhances the sound while playing songs.

The wide neck guitar can still be an advantage for players with smaller diameter fingers. No matter who you are, the added spacing between the strings just make the guitar easier to play.

There are some acoustic guitars that feature a wide neck and more space betweent the strings. If you are used to playing one of these, then the Big Lou wide neck electric guitar will feel like home.

Some of the very experienced (15+ years) players who first picked up a Big Lou wide neck electric guitar said that it felt a bit strange at first. However, after spending several minutes playing on it, they said, it's really no problem getting used the increased string spacing. If felt fine. Additionally, if there is a complicated riff that you are having trouble with, chances are good that you'll be able to play that riff without mistakes on a wide neck Big Lou electric guitar. This happened with some players at the Summer NAMM trade show in 2010.

I can tell you from personal experience, once you play this wide neck guitar for a few weeks, going back to a 1 5/8" neck feels like a move in the wrong direction. It's like, you never noticed how difficult it was, until you got spoiled by a wide neck electric guitar. Getting used to a wide neck electric guitar usually means that you don't ever wish to pick up a skinny neck guitar again. The increased need for accuracy is not really missed or appreciated.
