Big Lou Hearse Lily Red

The Hearse is a really cool design that features the HSH pickup approach. Coupled with the 5 way switch, this guitar can make a really wide range of sounds. The vintage tremelo can take the included whammy bar for spectacular dive bombs. The Hearse is also one of our lightest guitars at only 7.6 lbs. She’s easy to play and comfortable to handle. We have the Hearse in Cobalt Blue which features the 2″ nut width, and Lily Red with the 1 7/8″ nut width. The “6 on a side” headstock is inherently a strong design and makes tuning a snap. The Hearse has a high gloss finish with the wood grain showing and has a beautiful white binding around the body and the neck, which contrasts nicely with the “fade to black” body. The Big Lou Hearse can make you look like a star, even if your still in training. And honestly, we’re all just getting better!

Meet young Lily Carroll. Her biggest dream at age 14 is to drive a Hearse to school when she earns her drivers license. But not just any Hearse… She wanted a 1939 Cadillac La Salle Hearse. Is she a little crazy?…Umm yes. We found one in Pueblo, Colorado and I told her I would get the car, but the restoration would be up to her. I also told her that it would be a lot of work but she seemed intent upon completing her goal, so I had it transported to Perris, CA.

We decided to dedicate the new Big Lou Hearse guitar model towards her restoration project. Net proceeds of this guitar will be applied toward returning this ancient Hearse to her full glory! We are keeping track of all purchases of the Hearse Guitar and all customer names until Lily turns 16 will be inscribed on a plaque that will be installed inside the Hearse! It makes sense, since Hearse customers will be the ones supplying Lily with the money to get this car on the road.
