I personally felt the need and searched for… an electric guitar with a wider neck and ultimately found the Big Lou Cobra! It’s quickly became my favorite guitar for several good reasons. Its sturdy, wide fret board encourages me to explore more pathways and adds a dynamic and clarity to each note in ways I'm very pleased with. Plus… it’s also a great guitar for when I just want to grab a big handful and wring the f**k out of it! It should be mentioned that I don't even think I have big hands. I just wanted something more substantial and now have it!

​Powerful, moody, textural, kinetic, and deliciously uncanny. It’s the soundtrack for a neon séance in a basement rave—equal parts swagger and spellcraft—seducing you to dance harder and feel weirder. Their tracks splice in ghostly samples pilfered from random field recordings, ’50s TV commercials shouting that the future is already behind you, and stray audio relics that shouldn’t exist but do. The result feels like dancing inside a time machine that swears every malfunction is on purpose—and somehow proves it.

I learned guitar on wide-neck instruments and spent years trying to make standard electric necks work for my hands. They never did. I played better music by adapting—but I was always fighting the guitar.

Right before our last tour, I got a Big Lou with a 2⅛" nut. Instantly, everything changed. My hands relaxed, my picking improved, and the guitar finally felt natural. It felt like the instrument was built for me—not the other way around.

Playing live is nerve-racking, and having a guitar that gives me real space makes all the difference. Other players are always shocked by how easy it is to play.
